Benefit for Pastor Ron Field

We will be performing at the Benefit for Pastor Ron Field on July 28th at the Marilla Fire Hall on the corner of West Ave and Two Rod Road in the town of Marilla, NY.

Pastor Ron Field has served as chaplain at the Buffalo City Mission as well as a pastor at the Grace in the Community Church in Alden, NY.

We served with Pastor Ron at the City Mission for over 10 years as well as the Green Fields Nursing Facility in Lancaster.

Pastor Ron has been dealing with some difficult medical issues as of late and the benefit will help the family with medical expenses.

Come out and join us in our support of the Field Family and sing along!

New Support Staff

I wanted to recognize two new members of our Support Staff for their tireless commitment to our mission.

First, Marge Monk, who has been coming to most of our gigs when possible and even providing some baking (that always helps us grow)!

Second, Tina Gagliono, who has started to become a regular follower with Marge.

They both are joining Leona Domblisky as our faithful “groupies”.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement through our mission to serve the Lord with our music.

Easter at Terrace View

We have changed our schedule for the month of April due to Easter Sunday falling on the first Sunday of the month.  Due to some of our members’ family commitments, we will not be performing the Sunday service there.  Instead, Elder Wiggins will be offering Holy Communion that day.  We hope to see you all for the first Sunday in May!

Happy Holidays!

I will start out by saying that the title is simply covering all the holidays in our present and immediate future.  I am not trying to be politically correct, but simply including all the holidays in one place.

We are starting the new year with a bang and then with a seemingly long lull.  A couple of our members will be visiting relatives in distant cities and we will curtail our performances until they return, which will be late in March.  There will be another lull in the month of June and we will then resume our schedule of almost every Sunday.

We grieve as we celebrate…

Our mandolin player, Jim Hippert has recently lost his father to a lengthy illness.  Even though we grieve with him and his family, we are celebrating that his father is now with the Holy Father.  There is no greater peace than to know that we will see a loved one again for eternity.

Please keep Jim, his family and Straight Path in prayer as we journey through this dark time, but knowing that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is carrying us.

Getting Ready for Christmas…

We just updated our “Upcoming Events” page, so be sure to check it out  and come out and see us!  Make sure you introduce yourself and tell us you viewed our website!

This year we are performing a couple of concerts that are open to the public and are FREE!

The nursing homes are also free, just ask us beforehand and we’ll tell you where we are performing.  For example, we play in the lobby of the Terrace View Manor.  We normally play in the Willink dining hall at Absolut Care of East Aurora, along with the dining hall at Father Baker Manor.

Spring is FINALLY Here!

We have endured a long and cold winter season and look forward to a warm and sunny Spring and Summer!  Our members have spent some time with friends and families (some have traveled some distance) and now look forward to spending time with our friends at the venues we play.

Please check out our schedule of events and see if you can make it out to one or a few to join us in celebrating our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
